Honoring the Gardenia jasminoides, native to the warm, humid streambanks and forest margins of southern China and Japan, our fully open, gardenia blooms are positioned conceived as a paired sculpture, where vessel and botanical art act as a single, continuous form. Two interlocking ceramic silhouettes create a nested negative space that reads as an architectural arch, giving the piece a strong vertical axis and a stable, gallery style ambiance. Each vase carries a single, carefully scaled stem of white gardenias and foliage, positioned so the blooms occupy different planes; this staggered height and depth preserves asymmetry while maintaining a clear, cohesive outline.
